A Late Mothers’ Day

Monday, May 14th, 2007

Because Ange was studying last weekend, we decided to put off Mothers’ Day for a week. So, today we headed to Fitzroy Gardens for a bit of a picnic and a play onthe very cool playground equipment.

Now that Ange is back, we actually remember to take the camera with us, which of course means more photos.

Although you can’t tell from the photos, Ange actually had a bit of a break whileBen and J had lots of turns on the giant concrete dragon slippery dip. For a laugh, checkout the crazy little-un on the swing next to Ange and J.

At Home Dad

Sunday, May 13th, 2007

Last week I took the week off work to look after J while Ange studied for herCPA exam. Somehow, miraculously, all three of us managed to survive. Being back at work this week has almost been like a holiday, except they actually expectedme to get things done.

J had a very productive week while I was home. He’s added a few words to hisvocabulary, including Mum and Duck. He also decided that the best place to practicestanding up was in the bath. Luckily he’s quite good at letting himself down gently. Before long he’d moved on to using his toy box and anything else that seemed about the right height.

Crawling is coming along at a rapid pace, as are (even more!) teeth. I think we’reup to number 11 or 12 now.

We made a few trips to the park in between chores, and I snuckin a photo or two on one of our expeditions. You can see them here.

After much (much!) drama, we finally have childcare arranged so that Ange canstart back at work next week. Jeremy and Ange spent today with the lovely lady, and J seems to have taken to her really well.
